The Minister undertook to, by the end of the year, amend the Design, Building and Practitioners Act 2020, section 107(5A), in response to the Committee’s scrutiny concerns.

Law Enforcement (Controlled Operations) Regulation 2025

The Minister for Police and Counter-terrorism undertook to amend the regulation, section 8(e) so that only one position is prescribed, as provided under the Act, section 29(4).

Transport for NSW undertook to amend the instrument in response to the Committee’s scrutiny concerns.  

Marine Safety Amendment Regulation 2025

The Minister for Roads undertook to amend the instrument in response to the Committee's scrutiny concerns.

Mental Health Regulation 2025

The Minister for Mental Health undertook to ensure that the Ministry of Health further considers the scrutiny concerns raised by the Committee, including whether separate consent forms for voluntary patients, and involuntary patients both over and under 16 years of age should be created, and more generally whether the consent information in Form 5 could be made clearer.

Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences Regulation 2024

Minister for the Arts undertook to amend the Government Sector Employment Act 2013, Schedule 1, Part 2 in response to the Committee's scrutiny concerns.

National Parks and Wildlife Act 1974—Erratum

The Minister for the Environment undertook to correct the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1974, Proclamation published in the Government Gazette on 4 April 1996, on pages 1651 and 1652 by appropriate means

National Parks and Wildlife Regulation 2025

The Minister for the Environment undertook to:

• amend the regulation to clarify that the power to use website notifications to close parks is limited to emergency situations.
• amend the regulation, clause 25(1)(b) to clarify the definition of a prohibited event.

The Legal Profession Admission Board undertook to amend the instrument in response to the Committee’s scrutiny concerns.

The Legal Profession Admission Board undertook to amend the instrument in response to the Committee's scrutiny concerns.

NSW Admission Board Third Amendment Rule 2024

The Legal Profession Admission Board undertook to amend the instrument in response to the Committee’s scrutiny concerns.  

Pipelines Amendment Regulation 2024

The Minister for Energy undertook to, by 14 April 2025, amend the Pipelines Act 1967,  Schedule 2, clause 13(a) or the Pipelines Regulation 2023, section 26C(1)(b), in response to the Committee's scrutiny concerns.

Public Health (Tobacco) Amendment (Tobacco Licensing Scheme) Regulation 2025

The Minister for Health undertook to amend the instrument in response to the Committee’s scrutiny concerns.  

Report and determination pursuant to section 14(2) of the Statutory and Other Offices Remuneration Act 1975 - President, Vice-President, Deputy Presidents and Acting Judge of the Industrial Relations Commission

The Statutory and Other Offices Remuneration Tribunal undertook to amend the instrument in response to the Committee’s scrutiny concerns.

Retirement Villages Regulation 2025

The Minister for Better Regulation and Fair Trading undertook to amend the regulation, Schedule 2, item 3 to reflect the requirement in section 18(5) that the person completing the condition report must use due diligence to be satisfied the report is accurate.

Road Transport (General) Amendment (Mobility Parking Scheme Authorities) Regulation 2025 

The Minister for Roads undertook to amend the instrument in response to the Committee’s scrutiny concerns.

Road Transport Amendment (Automated Seatbelt Enforcement ) Rule 2024

The Minister for Roads undertook to amend the instrument in response to the Committee's scrutiny concerns.

Sydney Water Regulation 2025

The Minister for Water undertook to amend the regulation, section 35 to address the Committee's concerns and make clear that the provisions do not abrogate the privilege against self-incrimination.

Water Management (General) Amendment (Metering) Regulation 2025

The Minister for Water undertook to amend the instrument in response to the Committee's scrutiny concerns.

Water Management (Water Supply Authorities) Regulation 2025

The Minister for Water undertook to do the following: 

• to amend the regulation, section 58, to address the Committee's concerns and make clear that the provisions do not abrogate the privilege against self-incrimination,
• to obtain advice from the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water on the application of the regulation, section 37 and the options for a legislated right of review or appeal, which will involve consultation across a number of agencies, including the Department of Communities and Justice, and the development of options on how to establish and manage a legislated right of review or appeal against decisions, and
• to write to the NSW Ombudsman to confirm its ability to receive complaints from customers of water supply authorities, including about actions taken by these authorities under the regulation, section 37.

Work Health and Safety Regulation 2025
 

The Minister for Work Health and Safety undertook to amend the regulation by relocating the note from the foot of section 55D to section 55C in order to ensure consistency with the Model WHS Regulations.
